ohh, oh what's going on?

i've been less productive for some reasons. i could just pick one from a list actually. but i've been smiling the whole time and even laughing some [and wearing plenty of eyeliner]! here's recent news from my personal "life" in bullet form:
  • my old uni's football team made a HUGE college football celebrity cry

  • been having baby fever and dreaming of fuzzy-headed biracial babies because when i remove my NuvaRing, my hormones want me to be crazy
  • fought with screamed at my Old Man and had a BIG discussion with him, his mother, and his nephew about my food cravings also because of my hormones : (
  • wore a wig out in the snow to go listen to some live music! and got asked to dance at least ten times
  • finished transferring universities to a nice, liberal arts school here at home after a semester at a junior college!!
  • ate some delicious Minestrone from an old Italian recipe for the first time--Andy's mommy is a beautiful Italian woman who can cook like no one else!
  • been studying until i forget to eat in between times
  • stopped consuming caffeine
  •  discovered a new soda that has St. John's Wort, chamomile, lavender, and everything BUT weed in it. it has a warning to not consume it before driving and to not drink more than one bottle a day. it scares me.
have fun winding down your semesters and making plans for your holiday breaks! mine's gonna be awesome and filled with all of the things that make me so genuinely happy!

random and overheard from a friend:

creepy Halloween experience one of my girls had in old University Town.

"random guy last night: "let me guess... you're aunt jemima?" me: "uhhhh no i'm little red riding hood." random guy: "omg i'm so sorry! here let me give you a hug... don't be afraid i know i'm black but i won't rape you cuz i'm actually gay." ^ weirdest encounter with a stranger i've ever had."

ahhh, the craziness and misfortune of disgustingly drunk people! i'm seriously more afraid of being raped by one of my best friends than random black guys. what a sick way to think about one's own race. heh.

Yaya!

baby, i neeeed your lovin' -- GOT to have aaaaalll your lovin'!
she's attacking my MiMaw now. MiMaw is walking on a pink cane. gotta go save her! :-D

busy, but stopping in.

hope all of y'all are having a super weekend! i've been getting into the swing of my new job. been doing so well that my boss said that he was going to quit! aww, thanks! also at my job,  i saw my ex with a friend in the area while i was on break. i spoke to him and he showed off his new Little One. he left, came back, and hung around--but i was too busy with guests to chat with folks. also some kid from my old high school came in and was tactless to me. he said, "Hey, girl! I wanna sweet tea!" i wasn't bothered at all... i got him one and smiled and said "My name is Cheniece!"

i'm about to head downtown now to have a beer and listen to some live blues music. hope that you're having nearly as much fun as i'm having! also, check out my article on EFT. it's informative and interesting.

random, fun links that i'm spilling out tonight!

my only baby.

introducing.... Yaya Smith-Dillon!
remember the news about my Yazoo City puppy? she's the only baby that i have or want. no stretch marks, child support, government assistance, or deadbeat fathers for me. i did have to use a diaper or two when creating her diet, though. ah, fuck me! Spazz got me thinking about this with her rant of sorts about the fuckery of pregnancies by "parents" who aren't prepared at all. sad. pinch a penny between your knees and you won't have anything to worry about [like how the baby weight stays in all of the wrong places].

and this is the funniest twitter EVER: shit my dad says. it's my new favorite, besides my own, of course.

i'm going out tonight. bet i won't forget to take my birth control tonight!

making magic and gearing up.

i've been catching up with my blogger friends. if i have recently commented on your post, and you are not linked here [and want to be cool like all of the other people who are], just drop me a line!

i'm not dreading school as much as i thought that i would. i have a lovely secondhand black professional-looking messenger bag now. i can't wait to get some stencils and decorate it with "CHERRY" in big, pink letters. i'm going to rock moving back home and going to college like nobody's business. try to keep up with me!

my little bro is A-OK. his lung is healing and i get to kill him with my own two hands.
-------------------------------------
how is your summer winding down? have you been making magic with your time? you better have been. been dancing to Prince? prancing around on balconies and rooftops with a camera? bought some new panties because you manage to ruin all of yours during the Lady Days like i still do? whatever you've been breeding magic into your life with, i'm glad for you and am telling you that everything is going to be OK. nothing is as relieving as the sight of the world moving on.

kisses and hugs and all of that mushy business.
ciao!

haha!!1!

haha, ohmygosh. this is old, but it sure is funny! Black People Love Us!
i have to show Andy when he gets back. he's on tour in the Northeast for a week right now. i'm so proud of him and i love bragging, as you have just witnessed. my family has enjoyed having me back; they've made some jokes about forgetting what i look like. well, the joke's on them because i'm hanging out with Andy's sister tonight! wooo!

bleh. it's way early. where's my coffee? ciao friends. is anybody dreading the thought of school? actually excited? going to kill yourself or maybe just some kittens?..

it got down and wanted to come up! why me?

this is what was yummy. this is what made me sick. this is what made me down an overdose of Benadryl just so i could get to sleep and forget about my nausea last night. now i just want to rent a cool movie or two and not worry about any obligations.

of MJ and not even dinner and a movie.

this is my MiMaw at a spontaneous and totally, ridiculously juvenile tea party. she is amazing!!!
------------------------------------------------------------
i'm just remembering that i had a dream about Michael Jackson last night--intensely. and it was moderately inappropriate, which is like saying that "it's fucking hot today!."

me and andy should do this date idea proposed by miss Gala Darling:

  • “My old neighbourhood” date
Walk around the area you used to live, & tell your date about where you used to ride your bike, what happened on that one lawn, which house was best to hit up on hallowe’en & who the really creepy neighbours were.

sounds fun, even if I was the creepy neighbor. i should liveblog it and give it its own twitter hash-tag... #andy&cherryawesomedate. hah!

i promise to get up on my commenting. right after i figure out my place in the world--hell, after i figure out my place in this apartment....

whoop, whoop! i'm so happy! i'll explain the change of privacy preference later. or not :) last night i stepped out on the town and went hardcore till 2 AM with none other than MiMaw, my grandmother! we were at my future in-laws' blues spot listening to amazing music and watching people get drunk. i met a sweet vampire lady and she toasted me! i even let her bite... my hotdog with all of the fixings. here is a totally unrelated picture of my gorgeous diamond-shaped face and another of my engagement ring and flower arrangement. thanks, Andy's Grandma!

unemplyed and a little uninspired.

why, oh, why must the job market be SO suckish? i need to fund my eating habbit or learn to cook, like, yesterday. i want some new panties because i've been accidentally going commando due to me NOT doing laundry. i have to pay for school, necessities, blah, blah, blah. bitch, bitch, bitch!

i hate being an adult.

everything else is swell. i have a new LG Vu. my nails are hot pink. the weather is delicious. my boyfriend's brother is opening up his new night spot tomorrow night [if you're from my hometown, head out there for Jesse Robinson's Annual Birthday Bash]. "No Black, No White, Just Blues!" i'm gonna be there, wearing bells, or just taking pictures.

i need to catch up with reading and commenting. give me some time. give me some Tylenol.

ciao.

so tickled pink and just tickled!

  • i'm getting all of the "inseparable" moments i want with my boyfriend. i go to most of his performances. his family adores me. i almost killed his sister and cousin on the way out to a blues club. the family babies all play with me and make me polish their toenails and read books to them [i should start charging].

  • my parents are bitching me out like they used to do when i lived here. i managed to call my little brother an "asshole" at the top of my lungs  before breakfast today. my accent is back. i'm re-learning directions and learning new ones that i should have always had in the back of my head.

  • there are little bad-ass kittens to raise. Sons of Anarchy returns soon. my period is over... i could explode with bliss.

  • and me and Andy are on a bet / game in which we abstain from sex [and i'm talking any type of nookie] for an entire week. four more days to go. i feel like that Ramones song: "24 hours to go, I wanna be sedated..." the man was in such a foul mood yesterday... wonder why. haha!! i love it when he can barely keep his hands off of me hunts me down on the bed [or floor or car backseat or against the side of the house] out of unchecked lust. the longer our "fast" lasts, the more intense things will be when it's over. YES! i hope that i survive any encounter after these next four days. i'll check back in ;)

start of summer 09

somebody had to do it!
i'm home and everybody wants it to be FOR GOOD. and it feels good right now, so maybe i'll stay. lot's of exciting things happening at home. my boyfriend's older brother bought some property in a historic district downtown and he's turning it into a bar / hangout spot. i'm excited! it'll be an easy, comfortable way for me [and any of my buddies] to get involved in the night life with no gunshots and no "one-race-only" atomosphere.

also, i'm really excited about: raising five kittens, being with my little cousins, eating breakfast for the first time EVER, thrifting, buying video games, being with Andy and remembering how exactly in love with him i am.

woah! a Trojan Condoms commercial just played.. "ride out these tough times together," America? that's some thick innuendo! using protection should not be too hard to stay on top of!

things i'm going to do this summer
  • buy a MacBook

  • watch the new Wolverine movie and convince folks that it was Andy's idea

  • hang out at Frank Jones' Corner

  • maybe move home and get a place?!!

  • purchase and read a book for leisure

  • get a job that doesn't involve me digging up old, orange booty shorts of mine

things i've done so far
  • make friends with ladies in the wig shop

  • have a dog kiss me in the mouth

  • gotten a prescription for BC

  • add on to my personal literary projects

  • eat way too much Subway

  • fought with both of my little brothers in one day [actually in five minutes]

hope everyone gave each and every woman in his or her life who has ever been pregnant the BIGGEST kiss ever on sunday. haven't blogged in forever, but now i feel like i should do it even less often and expand my life some more. i'm going to live my life and leave you wishing that you could live it too!

everyone should do this! be a busy, cocky asshole. i've done it before and free time shouldn't get in the way of it.

Break's over :(

i feel remarkable. i'm so thankful that i have the resources and the strength to get out of bed, even when it feels like i'll never make it through the day. and then i laugh at all the other times that i've felt that way [this month even] as i work out and have some coffee. i feel remarkable.

my Spring Break was slightly uneventful, but i was immensely pleased. i got to argue with my family and eat Mom's cooking. i got to stare up into my boyfriend's face and meet more of his wonderful family. his sister read my feminist rant and hugged me for writing it. it was weird, but i enjoyed agreeing with someone. she's so great. i just can't post about her brother in lewd ways anymore. i'll just keep most of that in my head from now on. it was getting pretty bad; i felt like an 18 yr. old boy.

there was plenty of beer on Bourbon Street. there were also plenty of cabaret girls in their underwear. i ate overpriced crawfish when i could go back home and cook them myself for free. i ate beignets at the fake Café du Monde in Riverwalk Mall. i saw some folks who went to my university. i took a picture of some guy dressed as a jester and i named him Arlechino when his real name is prolly just Jake. my boyfriend fiddled and some woman cried after one of the songs. she had a boyfriend, but she apparently likes musicians a lot. i'm not jealous; i can't blame her!

i didn't see any vampires, but a musician friend of my second family lent me one of her vampire books to read. it's not Anne Rice, but it ain't awful. i'll give it back next time that they tour.

i'm back in Campus Town and i miss home only because i love home a little too much maybe. so it's not really a bad thing. i've got easy decisions to make and experiences to enjoy. i should shower and wash the dishes from breakfast. i should finish the love poem i'm writing and i should write another one to myself!

i'm a gluttonous asshole.

i've come to the conclusion about how big of a fatass i am: i had a dream last night about my boyfriend--and a cheese fondue. no messy combination of the two either. i was having a fondue party and i didn't even touch my boyfriend at all. he was just in the area, twiddling his thumbs while i ate bread with cheese dripping off of it. i feel like such a gluttonous asshole!

[brag]
have you ever had your new love interest act protective of you in public? was it silly cute and lovely feeling? i have, and YES! i went out to Mugshots to hear him play one night and some drunk, overly friendly marine sat by me and kept hinting for me to come back on Wednesday when he would be there again. i was sweet to him [mistake] and he bought my next two rounds of drinks all while my manfriend was on stage. well, immediately after that set, my man comes out of nowhere, swoops me up in his arms, and says "Hey, Baby!" it was uncomfortable for me, but hilarious! the drunk marine should have taken the hint, but he never backed off. my guy introduced himself and had to eventually go back onstage. time for the marine to try some more tricks, right?

the marine told me that didn't trust musicians and he kept talking me down. he even wrote his cell number on his business card for me and i just kind of pushed it to the side in a half-assed acceptance. after the next set, my apparently untrustworthy significant other comes back to save me. he was a lot more aggressive this time. he got all loud and "joked" about fighting the marine. he told him to stop trying to recruit me or else some furniture would have to move. haha!!! but seriously though. it looked and sounded realistic; i had to grab his arms to get him to hush up a little. it didn't really work. got solicited to sit near some Australian men. got to dance with a groom-to-be at his wedding party. my boyfriend congratulated the guy and made an announcement to the bar about him sharing a dance with his "beautiful girlfriend." anyway. rode home more amused than drunk. there was a loud "Bye, Baby!" from the stage as i was leaving in a final act to stake claim on me.
[/end brag]

it snowed here recently. my car was all covered in the stuff. now it's hot as hell. i'm more broke than i have ever been in my life now. my car needs a tire. i drunk dialed the wrong "Kirsten" in my phone. i've been corrupting a girl whom i work with all weekend. there is a random 11 1/2 th Street here that i've just seen today. i have some free time now, so i'll prolly indulge in some TV, which i never get to do. what's good to watch besides old Sons of Anarchy and Rescue Me?

this is my frozen car outside of a friend's dorm. it's the one next to the handicap space.

[i had a photo of a nearly nude Charlie Hunnam here, but my photobucket denies it.]
this is completely tangent to anything i just posted. sorry. or am i?

actual V-Day.

i don't even effing care if you care or not, but i had the best Valentine's Day--ever!
  • i dressed up like a hot pink whore and put on a glam wig because my own hair was way too tangled
  • i bought my family some nice expensive gifts. they all think that they stink now, though.
  • i bought andy some nice Very Sexy for Him from Vicky's Secret; i hope he doesn't think that i think that he's smelly. that stuff just smells wonderful!
  • andy took me to see Coraline instead of Friday the 13th after he read a silly comment i made on my blog. he's great.
  • andy made me dinner at his parents' house: there were dim lights, candles, a rose, wine, and jazz music. he even wore a little apron. he was so tired when he was done that he didn't eat much. i did! that stuff was good! [my white boyfriend cooked his black girlfriend fried chicken, lulz. it was 1) a salad with raspberry vinaigrette, candied walnuts, and grapes, 2) asparagus, 3) reverse fried rice with lemon and nutmeg, 4) and Italian breaded chicken cutlets with lemon zest in olive oil, not peanut oil. it was all very lemony tasting and yummy.]
  • we went to his place with dessert.
  • he played me a song on his violin. it's called something like "Her Laugh," or "Giggle." he explained the different transitions in the music and how they mirrored my essence. lovely.
  • he gave me a cute card, a tee shirt with our hometown university on it so i can feel close to home out here, and a sweet cap that folks here have never seen before.
  • the dessert happened to be a tin of homemade chocolate-covered strawberries. they were delicious! some of the chocolate froze to the paper, so he scraped it off and we fed it to each other with a spoon. this was fun.
  • ...
okay, on other notes, i have weird visitors to my blog whom i probably know. someone from back home has been visiting from a casualty insurance company. someone else has been using Google Chrome to visit and my family is addicted to Firefox. also, someone has Vista, but all the folks from back home who read me that i know have XP or some other OS. i even have a few proxy visits. swweeet!.. i suppose i could just zoom in to the street addresses using my tracking server. maybe later. the Internet is great.

my exam is over. i killed it with an A i'm assuming. i have more next week :( my apartment is infested with ants now and the maintenance man had to move around all of the wine bottles to spray properly! bleh.

ciao! i feel sick from The Pill and tired from studying. nap time!

"Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way!"--Frank Sinatra in "My Way"

do old bluesy men use roofies?

i've missed home so much. and now there's a super sexy someone here who makes it that much better. last night was hilarious:

he took me to some local venue for "Blue Monday" where all of these old folks in cowboy hats, fur, and jeri curls were out to listen to some good music. the stuff actually sounded good and i was enjoying myself in my little red dress.

my boy man was having a good time too, but some of the folks there who knew him basically pulled him up on stage to play Bass, which was cool--FOR HIM. i was in the back of the house with some guy who was easily twice my age. after a moment he asked me, "Is that man your husband?" i told him no. wrong answer, because the man told me that he's an artist and he wants to do my picture... weird. i know that i looked young--how sure was he that i was actually legal?! some men are very questionable.

so my mister comes back thankfully, and then guess what? everyone wants him to sing! i didn't mind it because i like his voice a lot, too. so he does and it was me back alone with the creeper. mr. creepy had gone and come back with two hot dogs. he said that he couldn't eat both of them in time for his performance and offers me one. i tell him no and i guess that he gets offended because he says "Your man ain't going to mind! There's nothing wrong with it!" well, i didn't accuse him of such. that's not creepy, AT ALL! a hot dog roofie incident is not the way i'm trying to go out.

and some random guy walked by greeting folks and stops at me and tells me that i'm absolutely beautiful, which was unexpected but tastefully done. relief, right? and then some man was watching me twist my hair up and told me to leave it down because it looked fine the way it was. i shouldn't have said thanks, because then he asked me how long i had been talking to my guy.. whatthecrap? i'm not even safe when i'm trying to get my hair from itching my neck? i'm never sitting back there again.

so my beau finally gets done singing and i kiss him and asked him did he see all of the unwanted attention i was receiving from onstage. he said yeah; guess it was amusing! i'm going to have to wear a bag over my head or something next time. wear my brothers' clothes, maybe?

yeah, i just thought that this was funny enough to share. can't wait until some ladies are a little too friendly with my mister [not that i could ever blame them; who can resist pretty blue eyes and blond hair?].

later!

crush.

people my age can't even make Charm fall out of a cereal box.

well except for this guy. i went to high school with him but i've never talked to him, even if he was friends with my ex and even graduated with him, i think. or maybe not.  so it's been four years since i might have seen his [beautiful] face. so, he asked me to meet him for breakfast two nights after his performance and wants some future dates. i think that sushi and hearing a band play is what he would like to do next.

so: we have a chemistry, he's a damned good kisser, and i like the way he bit the inside of my elbow. he has such a pretty, pink mouth! it's SO nice actually being able to have a big deal kind of a crush on someone, especially when i wasn't even searching to have one; it's proof that i've moved on physically and sentimentally.

i am really glad that i decided to support live, local music that night! he's good on the strings and i'm pretty sure that he's good at other stuff too. men who can dance might be just as pleasant during other activities!

ahh, i haven't been on a big girl date [with a worthy guy] in a while. but, hell: it's better than never being on one. and i haven't felt kisses this good... EVER, it seems. it's so nice feeling like a lady and actually being courted! he calls me ma'am and told me that he thinks that i hung the moon in the sky.
-------------------------
*ugh! i really hate to wax exclusively on guys, but this is just one of those posts. forgive me. this man brought it out in me. oops. and i'm not expecting anything colossall from him. i'm just mostly glad of the progress that i've made! who woulda thunk?

frenching and flirting.

"thanks" to all of you lovelies who actually read all of my absent rambles and entertain me with your compliments. know that you are responsible for making me smile from day to day! i'm leaving for home tomorrow with my mom and dad and i might not get around to being near a computer as often as i would like to [or i might. who knows?]. but don't you worry, i'll return full force after this short break.

and now for some blogging:

French Week was celebrated recently on my campus and i had a blast. a bunch of high school Francophiles Frenchers came to visit and to participate in our activities. i baked cupcakes [French Vanilla, oh la la] for fundraising and apparently the things were good; they sold out in two hours. yay! no one got food poisoning. that definitely would not be chic.

there was a French dinner at a swank restaurant just out of town and the whole French Club went. a very nice boy drove me and sat next to me.  he was very polite and tall ;)   the whole affair was nice. the president of the club complimented my dress. the food was exotic and delicious. the company was delightful because everyone was full of wine and fried cheese.  here are a few photos. there are a cute crimson shirt that says "Kiss me. I speak French," vanity shots of myself, and pretty displays of the meal.

ciao! i'll be back soon for a possible Twilight review and to describe how i'm absolutely sure that my Literature professor now knows that i'm in love with him. i didn't giggle and blush at him about a subject completely tangent to the course material, at all.

Happy Thanksgiving!
i'm off for home where some amazing folks are!

Nov 1, 2008

babe, you can't capture this.

nah, babe don't try. not even with a camera.

my H'ween pwned all. there was a guy dressed as what i thought was a car crash victim, but he was indeed the Stock Market. there were plenty of political figures [one Obama had devil horns] and Ledger!Jokers as predictable. campus was crazy. just imagine hundreds of freakily-dressed young adults coming out the library, grabbing food from the cafe, waving bye to their professors with Jason masks on.

i froze my booty off. my pirate costume was an experiment to discover how naked i could get without getting pneumonia in my butthole. it worked and i'm alive to blog about it. i thought it was cute and so did several other people [guys and girls]. you can only get away with this stuff one night out of the year, folks, and i'm a professional. careful, it burns to the touch.

the parties were especially enjoyable. it resembled intense raving because this is not only Halloween weekend but Homecoming weekend as well. i don't even remember what bands were playing because they all had on masks and wigs.. one guy dressed as a crackhead tried to get me to sniff his powdery-coated hand when i asked for a beer. it was suspicious, but turns out it was just Altoids. you can't blame my apprehensiveness;  i can't afford a roofie accident before my Organic test!

i got pictures with some slick-dressed special ones. i will link the photo albumn. i can't remember who all i kissed. i took some drags off of some poor girl's cigarette. when i forgot that it belonged to her and not me and started to walk away, she ran after me in her soldier's costume and asked for it back. that's a smoker for you. they'll hunt you down to puff at the filter.

quotes of the night:
"yeah, she danced with him and i stood there awkwardly with Hilary Clinton."
"aww, we should have taken more pictures with that crackhead!"
"hey let's take a picture! can you strangle me a little bit?!"

and what was your night like? please please please link any albumns, photos that you have. have any crazy stories for me? a secret?  watch any lovely movies that i should see? kiss a cute boy or girl? i seriously want to know because H'ween is my favorite holiday and autumn is my favorite time of year. make my day.

this is my insanity from this time of year:
ciao, mes chers.
---------------------------
and i'm making this a two-fold post, darlings. this is the selfish MemeMeme part. i just have to say that i am in love with myself; this is the romance of my lifetime. and i'm lucky that other people in my life can love me, as well. i don't have to pretend to be someone else for any reason and no one else can be quite exactly me [not that they should want that anyway]. i don't have any babies [headaches /possible heartaches / stretch marks] to split my time and expenses on. i don't have the insecurity that i used to have, and i don't spend all of my time talking about other people who shouldn't be important to me anymore now that i'm a big girl who should have an established life elsewhere and independent of immature bullshit. i've really grown up. there is no reason why this lady needs to obsess and to be possessed by a bunch of shtuff in her past when life is pulling her a new direction! anything less would just be sad. i just pulled an A on my Cell Bio exam. my professor shook my hand at our meeting and can write a recommendation for me. my family is strong and behind me 100 percent. they would never leave alone, abandon me just because i'm an adult, or kick me out of the house. i have other worthy people in my corner, Team Cherry, who can support me at my bad times. i have God [yeah, i said it]. i have denis leary to masturbate over tonight! i'm such a favored girly these days!

and this isn't even an ounce sarcastic! i haven't seen this clearly in a while and i'll tell you that it has to do a lot with spirituality and God, if you care for such stuff. i feel extra lucky and fabulous. everything that i'm touching is turning into gold and the Hell that tried to hold me back is now my pink feather and lace-adorned footstool.
