are you teething or just being an ass?!

that's a hot blogger there!

boo-yaow!!! guess who's back like Eminem! i've been being both elusive or just lazy AND conquered by the transition to my new university. i've gone from huge beer bashes and class sizes of 350 to classes where we read a Bible verse each meeting [even if it's a science class] and where EVERYONE knows my name! i'll admit--i kind of like the latter feature :-)

have you missed me? i feel so much more awesome than i actually am when my blogger friends comment on my absence! YOU people are awesome [whaddya mean, you people?] and i can't wait to get back to making positive, quirky, and charming comments on all of your lovely posts again. go ahead and write some award-winning material for me! 2010 [two thousand and amen] is our year--i just know it.

SO:
  • i'm not dead.
  • i saw my ex, Larry, and he said that i must do voodoo because he still has dreams about me. oooh! he should get in trouble with the mother of his kid for that!
  • i'm still cute and football players AND softball players still whistle at me. oh, yeah! hot stuff!
  • moved in with my fiancé to our first house!
  • i've discovered how to give myself an orgasm through reverse crunches [i am going to get SO fit very quickly].
  • i honestly love all of you and i adore my new followers, too. i hope that my new friends can come to like me as much as y'all old bitches do..
give me a day or so to catch up! i can't wait, mes cheres!

and here's an actual photo that i took in my hometown when i was shopping recently:

and i got an award from The Ranting Teenager! go stop by her blog and say nice things!

ohh, oh what's going on?

i've been less productive for some reasons. i could just pick one from a list actually. but i've been smiling the whole time and even laughing some [and wearing plenty of eyeliner]! here's recent news from my personal "life" in bullet form:
  • my old uni's football team made a HUGE college football celebrity cry

  • been having baby fever and dreaming of fuzzy-headed biracial babies because when i remove my NuvaRing, my hormones want me to be crazy
  • fought with screamed at my Old Man and had a BIG discussion with him, his mother, and his nephew about my food cravings also because of my hormones : (
  • wore a wig out in the snow to go listen to some live music! and got asked to dance at least ten times
  • finished transferring universities to a nice, liberal arts school here at home after a semester at a junior college!!
  • ate some delicious Minestrone from an old Italian recipe for the first time--Andy's mommy is a beautiful Italian woman who can cook like no one else!
  • been studying until i forget to eat in between times
  • stopped consuming caffeine
  •  discovered a new soda that has St. John's Wort, chamomile, lavender, and everything BUT weed in it. it has a warning to not consume it before driving and to not drink more than one bottle a day. it scares me.
have fun winding down your semesters and making plans for your holiday breaks! mine's gonna be awesome and filled with all of the things that make me so genuinely happy!

TiLT! [edited]

*now fixed for commenting!*

it's time for another lovely Things I Love Thursday! there is so much to pack into this list that i won't even try to fit in everything. i'll save some for friday. and saturday. and everyday because there's plenty to go around the entire week. woot, woot!

  • my hair. i'm wearing my real hair now, which is amazingly long. i'm always surprised to see how far down my back it is when i remove the extensions.
  • my blogger friends. i'm actually becoming quite fond of all of you bitches for some reason. y'all are just so great and pretty and fun! i just want to have a big party and bake cinnamon rolls for you while we watch Sons of Anarchy!
  • my new commenting system. i hope that it isn't giving you any trouble. i know that typing in your email address is a chore, but Disqus allows for threading, which is just so cool! that means real replies instead of the @person convention! if you're interested in switching, go ahead and ask me about the experience.
  • the fact that i can wear boots and a coat over my sundresses to winterize them. somebody's going to be cute, cute, cute tomorrow! do you do this already and does it make you feel extra feminine?
  • one of my teachers joke flirting with me. while i was taking an exam. "You look different today [my freshly blown-out hair]! What are you doing later?" haha! you silly man!
  • Andrew's grandmother sewing me a pink pillow! i really love her and all of my second family so much.
  • my new, hot pink bra with a bell in the middle. you can hear me suspiciously jingling around corners... where is that coming from?
  • and this new sex position that my old man and i have come up with. extra nice! excuse me for this isolated and candid emission.

anyone else who participates in Things I Love Thursday, link back to your own lists, or just tell me something nice! and it's almost the weekend! i hope everyone has some fun plans [or just some good sleep] lined up!

ciao!

crossing my fingers..

i think that i just found a new home for myself and the mister. not too excited about the $300 pet deposit though. thanks, Yaya, you awful, awful [but amazingly adorable] puppy.

it's a nice gated community, the rentals are old but newly renovated, which means that i get to have all of that old-fashioned space all fixed up with practical rent expense. it's clean. it's not "in the hood." Andy wouldn't have to worry about leaving me there some nights when he has practice. the neighbors are not shady, out-of-control characters. it's not an eyesore [actually quite attractive]. i'm excited, but it's just a possibility now. i'm in no rush to move out again.

my birthday was so special. Andy's family loaded me with presents and cake, even a singing candle. part of my gifts were the first season to FX's Sons of Anarchy [oh yeah!] and matching Snuggees for me and my puppy! i even got a new Placebo albumn that i've never heard of. it sounds divine, of course.

i need to eat--i can feel my blood sugar dropping :-( i've been quitting all of the yucky antidepressants that i've been taking. that mixture of chemicals was hardly effective AND i had awful side effects [nightmares, nausea, no libido, ahhh!]. my treatment is now going in a completely organic route. multivitamin everyday, St. John's Wort regulary, soon some Maca powder and sulfur supplents, Ginko perhaps, and some Rhodiola rosea. it's already been working wonders and saving me A LOT of money. i feel like i've got my own apothecary going on!..

but yeah, getting back to locating some food!

busy, but stopping in.

hope all of y'all are having a super weekend! i've been getting into the swing of my new job. been doing so well that my boss said that he was going to quit! aww, thanks! also at my job,  i saw my ex with a friend in the area while i was on break. i spoke to him and he showed off his new Little One. he left, came back, and hung around--but i was too busy with guests to chat with folks. also some kid from my old high school came in and was tactless to me. he said, "Hey, girl! I wanna sweet tea!" i wasn't bothered at all... i got him one and smiled and said "My name is Cheniece!"

i'm about to head downtown now to have a beer and listen to some live blues music. hope that you're having nearly as much fun as i'm having! also, check out my article on EFT. it's informative and interesting.

random, fun links that i'm spilling out tonight!

i can help you: EFT

i can help you heal yourself using only one of your hands! really. and it's not even masturbation-related.

the cause of all negative emotion is caused by a disruption of the body's energy systems.

hmm. by accessing the body's energy meridian endpoints, one can self-administer treatment and correct this disruption--kind of like toying with the antennae on my television when the picture is full of static.

whatever? nope. EFT is real. it's founded by a doctor as an alternative form of treatment for all sorts of conditions: depression, weight loss, PTSD, war memories, phobias, and EVERYTHING. it's like acupuncture without the needles. it seems a bit unorthodox, because i'm only familiar with Western medicine, but Asian cultures have been using this subtle, but powerful form of treatment for ages! what's stopping everyone else?

so with Emotional Freedom Technique, veterans of war have been cured of their stress disorders, clinically depressed people have learned to cope naturally when years of meds and therapy have failed, and folks with severe aquaphobia now enjoy beach trips for the swimming? YES!
"Some day the medical profession will wake up and realize that unresolved emotional issues are the main cause of 85% of all illnesses. When they do, EFT will be one of their primary healing tools .... as it is for me."

- Eric Robins, MD

it's really simple: all you need is your hand. say an affirmation and follow with a sequence of tapping on various energy endpoints [which are close to the body's surface] and one can witness profound mental AND physical healings immediately. and according to the writer of the official manual, you don't even need to believe that it's working for results to occur!

so call me crazy. "crazy!" and i agree that tapping on my chin, my hand, etc. looks silly and that something as subtle as touch can physically heal people with severe problems seems unrealistic. BUT, i've been trying it regularly now at the urging of a friend and the science has loads of affirmative case studies as proof. there was nothing to lose and in my experience, i've been feeling even more peachy when one of my emotions or problems get to me deeply on rare occasions: anger, fear, insomnia, feeling overwhelmed and tired on Monday mornings.

want to try it? go to the official website, download the 80 page manual, watch the videos, teach yourself and study the science, do your research... there's nothing to lose. you can tap about anything. and who knows?.. you could really be doing something nothing short of amazing for improving your already royal life! if you have success [or any type of experience for that matter] i'd love to hear about it! please drop me a line!

for the impatient who would rather just dive right in, here is another link to tempt you: EFT on a Page. good luck.
-------------------------------------------------
and PS--i got hired today!!! thanks to my fiance's sister [my sister now too], i've got a new job downtown! i've just finished with my RCIA meeting [to help in my decision to convert to Catholicism], and my hair is full of beautiful curls. today has been SO peachy!

ciao.

more school already? woo!

woo! my life has been busy and hectic with all of the moving back home and becoming stable [which i'm finally becoming good at doing]. i'm currently enrolled in a semester of junior college classes here at home in preparations of transferring a big lug of credits to a jewel of a nationally praised liberal arts school [right here in my home town!] in the spring. it's been a little hard for me lately, but i'm enjoying settling down to begin my new, adult life in a cozy fashion with my husband-to-be and our families. here is my load:

Monday:
8:00 AM-9:15 AM Statistics
10:50 AM-12:05 PM Chemistry Lecture
12:15 PM-2:55 PM Chemistry Laboratory

Tuesday:
10:50 AM-12:05 PM Biology Lecture

Wednesday:
8:00 AM-9:15 AM Statistics
10:50 AM-12:05 PM Chemistry Lecture

Thursday:
10:50 AM-12:05 PM Biology Lecture
2:05 PM-3:45 PM Biology Laboratory

Friday:
9:00 AM-11:45 AM Algebra

it's an easy and healthy course load, but i still can't wait for it to be over. none of my classmates, even the nursing students, can identify their correct glassware [snicker] and my teachers are really impressed with my knowledge and we spend minutes talking about material that's a bit extraneous to the textbook, and thus, completely over most others' heads. i'm a nerd and yes, i AM bragging!

but i'm a genuinely good person and i'm in a swell mood. i'll read and comment ASAP, but tell me this: how are everyone's classes? do you have a locker? are your teachers and professors miserable? is this going to be the year that you make some super productive changes and take over the world with me? we can paint it pink and make feather boas the global uniform [and take turns molesting an enslaved Crispin Glover].

high fives all around! yeah yeah yeah!

making magic and gearing up.

i've been catching up with my blogger friends. if i have recently commented on your post, and you are not linked here [and want to be cool like all of the other people who are], just drop me a line!

i'm not dreading school as much as i thought that i would. i have a lovely secondhand black professional-looking messenger bag now. i can't wait to get some stencils and decorate it with "CHERRY" in big, pink letters. i'm going to rock moving back home and going to college like nobody's business. try to keep up with me!

my little bro is A-OK. his lung is healing and i get to kill him with my own two hands.
-------------------------------------
how is your summer winding down? have you been making magic with your time? you better have been. been dancing to Prince? prancing around on balconies and rooftops with a camera? bought some new panties because you manage to ruin all of yours during the Lady Days like i still do? whatever you've been breeding magic into your life with, i'm glad for you and am telling you that everything is going to be OK. nothing is as relieving as the sight of the world moving on.

kisses and hugs and all of that mushy business.
ciao!

laughing at engagement club and lungs.

this is a repost from a failure of a time that i let myself have in the past. i'm giving it new light and laughing at it now because it's very and fabulously relevant!

  1. The first rule of Engagement club is: you do not talk about Engagement Club.
  2. The second rule of engagement club is: you DO NOT talk about Engagement Club.
  3. If a fiancé(e) says "stop," goes limp, taps out, the engagement is over.
  4. Only two really hopeful people to an engagement.
  5. One engagement at a time.
  6. No wedding band, yet no looking back, ether.
  7. Engagements will go on as long as they have to [even years].
  8. If this is your first night at Engagement Club, you have to make a bigger deal out of it than is necessary.
haha!

this is SO funny. the wedding bells are still chiming in my ear, but i have to remember to step back and not take things so dreadfully serious. no one makes it out alive, but i'm going to be rocking my ring and smiling anyway. if you're not enjoying your time, it's wasted!

just found out that my little brother has a condition where a lobe of his lung is collapsed. it's scary and upsetting, but it corrects itself. he better NOT be trying to die because i always said that it would be me to kill him! biology is SO scary, which is probably why i'm studying it--to conquer it in a way. he'll be fine now that we know what's wrong and that it naturally corrects itself.

even i have difficulties keeping on the sunny side, especially considering this circumstances. i'm smiling tonight. wish me more smiles for my gorgeous face and my family. i wish that i wasn't so bleh feeling and that i could pour out some internet love and hugs to everyone. let's all just take a deep breath and do something productive and wonderful with our days tomorrow.. get up a little earlier than you do normally. work out for thirty minutes. actually do some house work! kiss your mother and little brothers for me. create a fabulous routine to carry yourself through this semester. make some goals, enter them into a cool graphics program and decorate it and frame it over your desk. live more green and healthy. change your hair like one of my lovely blogger friends has just done ;) splurge on Guitar Hero World Tour like my fiance has done and rock out for your friends.

dreading school? GET OVER IT. or just play some Prince and dance around until everything [even horrible classes] is water under your bridge.

i'm off! computer kisses and genuine affection to you dolls.
ciao.

blog promotion for prostitutes and rockstars.

as a self-proclaimed blogging connoisseur, as proved by an existence in the Blogosphere since the mid 90s, i'm going to have so much fun with this post: i remember back, at least a decade ago, to my early days of internet whoring.. my own hosted website at an emo-named domain, LiveJournal and OpenDiary have been the instruments of my crime and vanity. my classmates and i had a circle of our vapid overshares in online diary form because we were just so cool. i've read and commented on drug abuse, oral sexin' of boyfriends, beer bashes, debates on how punk the band AFI really was / is, and other  components in the Wasteland of Teenage Angst.

as i got older and the threat of jailtime as well as permanent reputation harm became more real, i matured and formed a more purposeful vision for blogging. i got diagnosed with clinical depression and contemplated my stability online for my own welbeing, sans too many description of sexual encounters, bad music, blue hair dye, and wrist slicing. what i also got interested in was actual promotion. who would have thought that the world was bigger than just myself?! while my classmates were a supportive and depressing audience, i knew that my real friends lived in the computer, states, and even countries, away. how did i reach out to them?

  • the gURL.com messageboards has a nice community of ladies who would love to jump on your blog posts if you return the favor. don't forget a shameless and artistic plug in your signature complete with a kissy picture of you and your boyfriend / girlfriend!
  • if you're really vain, head to Plugboard.org and link your space with a cute button
  • leave comments on other folks' blogs, network, be vain and cool
  • join webrings, blog carnivals, etc.

watching Maury GMH.

GMH (Gives Me Hope)--like FML, but for optimists! found this while rooting around on the gURL message boards.
"My dad owns a small business that isnt doing so well right now. Hes known the other employees for a very long time. He always makes sure that they get paid, even when he doesnt. He doesnt tell them, but he takes money out of his savings for them. He GMH."

i don't think that any further commentary from me is needed.

and:
The crisis of yesterday is the joke of tomorrow." -- H. G. Wells from here
thank Goodness, right? i love getting the internet on my LG Vu. it makes insomnia productive. if this didn't pull at the corners of your mouth or warm your spirit, then you're Reptilian or sociopath.

i'm still puppysitting my baby. i've become a fan of Resistance 2 on PS3. Andy will be home at the end of this week because he's a rockstar. i'm up and smiling, so everything else is just water under the bridge.

FYI, daytime television is a quick way to feel better about your life. how many paternity tests have you had to have?

ciao. need my coffee and multivitamins. no workout today!

advices and purple toes.

i've been the receiver of some comforting words of wisdom in my day. my stone-faced dad isn't the most verbal type, but here's what he had to say to me one day:

"you can't worry about tomorrow until it gets here. you can only deal with today."

woah, right? i think that this is is similar to a Bible verse for any who might have an idea of what i'm referencing. tomorrow will bring enough troubles of its  own, and such. really powerful, if you think about it when you feel overwhelmed and anxious like i do often.

and here is what i've gotten in the habbit of reminding myself:
"acknowledge all of the little wins in life, because the big fails will always bring their own share of  negative attention from your mother, Trustmark Bank, your gynecologist, etc."

valuable stuff right? i thought so.
also, look at this little jewel that i found while riding in the backseat of my own car!..

Artmatic Pearly Grape nail polish! i got it in a shopping bag full of loot from a thrift store a while back. gonna be an artful change from my midnight blue and sparkly toenails. i'm going to have fun with this right now! or at least right after i finish puppysitting my new baby. that's right--me and Andy have a new addition!... she's got four legs, a tail, and floppy ears. Queenie Bella, i'm thinking.
alright, have fun with yourselves and make your life an adventure!
ciao and crazy love,
cherry.

haha!!1!

haha, ohmygosh. this is old, but it sure is funny! Black People Love Us!
i have to show Andy when he gets back. he's on tour in the Northeast for a week right now. i'm so proud of him and i love bragging, as you have just witnessed. my family has enjoyed having me back; they've made some jokes about forgetting what i look like. well, the joke's on them because i'm hanging out with Andy's sister tonight! wooo!

bleh. it's way early. where's my coffee? ciao friends. is anybody dreading the thought of school? actually excited? going to kill yourself or maybe just some kittens?..

why beat oneself up?

“We tend to beat ourselves up, but it’s necessary to let ourselves off the hook,”
says Ed Diener, PhD, professor of psychology and leading happiness researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
“Inevitably, you’re going to make mistakes, and yet you still have to like yourself.”
------------------
and i DO! i had to make every mistake that i ever made in my life to be here, so in a way, it was nourishing.

church in the morning. i want to wear red lipstick and non-prescription glasses. not beating myself up anymore. my brothers will do that. gotta engagement party and a wedding to let the experienced women in my family plan.
ciao.

this is a candid picture of me looking very awful one day. count me being caught looking like this as one of my larger "mistakes!"

cuuuute!

i know: i have to work out and take my vitamins before i get my day really started, but i couldn't resist. is it wrong that my new best friends only come up to my knees? i think not. i think that you should be jealous.

After a morning drive.

it's summer. it's a weekend. my hair is clean and straight.. this is a beautiful thing. nothing beats Frank Sinatra [i love Mr. Ole Blue Eyes] during morning dives, but this is pretty good, too:

on a less ideal note, someone called me "bitch" [out of complete love] yesterday and asked why i wouldn't take a glass of Crystal Light and vodka or play RockBand. "bitch, you're supposed to be celebrating with us! congratulations!" sorry! i just didn't want any and i'm not an XBox girl!  oh, my life :)
 -----------------------------------------------
and as a side note for myself--who in the hell is from Indianola? whoever it is, they're a true fan or just nosy / bored because they were all up in my archives looking for old stuff... i have a new post idea now! i'll suggest a bunch of movies, music, and books for folks to busy themselves in outside of the computer. we can easily forget how rewarding face-to-face interactions and all of the other real-world experiences can be. your own life is [should be] beautiful and it is waiting to be crowned [off of the internet]--by you! do nothing less! get off of the internet today and do something that makes someone wonder..

ciao.

Weekly Resolutions

bleh--i started on a tuesday, but here goes:

  • Pilates - at least three times a week, do a 30 minute pilates workout in the mornings. i pretty much do this already, but slacking off is still a possibility. gotta get my abs back and stop my booty from moving on its on.
  • Multivitamins - take them everyday, duh. they taste like oranges; it'll be easy.
  • Moods - don't be so impulsive and emotional.. take a deep breath and wait 10 seconds before reacting or entertaining an idea again. this is impossible difficult to manage while being menstrual AND on the pill, but get into practice.
  • Generosity - do nice things more often--like let these little ones root around in my makeup because it's painless, makes them very happy, and makes for cute pictures! everyone should have something to smile about each day. just look at my adorable little best friends.
i have so many pictures of Andy's nieces and me on FBook that someone asked if these kids were mine. hah! i didn't think that i could birth little blue-eyed blonde ones.. goober.
